《宏观经济学》是经济、管理类专业大一学生的专业基础课、必修课，是西方经济学的两个组成部分之一。不同于先修课程“微观经济学”中研究个体经济行为的视角，宏观经济学是以社会总体经济行为为研究对象，重点剖析市场经济条件下宏观经济的运行以及如何改善宏观经济运行的途径。本课程重点介绍了国民经济运行的基本原理和机制，解释了宏观经济变量和主要指标之间的关系，分析了西方主要学派对宏观经济运行的不同解释和政策主张。同时，宏观经济学为学生进一步学习其它经济、金融类课程打好理论基础和建立经济学逻辑思维体系。本课程注重培养学生思考分析问题能力、判断中国宏观经济发展趋势及决策能力，同时实施双语教学有助于培养学生具有国际化视野和在英语环境中从事经济管理工作的能力。
Macroeconomics, as one of the two branches of economics, studies the overall or aggregate behavior of the economy. This course aims at two things. First, we seek to understand the economic functioning of the world we live in; and second, we ask whether we can do anything to improve the performance of the economy. That is, students are concerned with both explanation and policy prescriptions of the operation of national economy. Explanation involves an attempt to understand the behavior of economic variables, both in the long run and in the short run. Emphasis is given to national income determination, money, banking and the central bank and the role of monetary and fiscal policy in economic stabilization and growth. The goal of this course is to develop student’s ability to analyze social phenomena from the viewpoint of an economist. Upon the completion of this course, students should be able to use the basic tools of economics to understand a wide range of worldly events as described in business magazines and newspaper articles.
