In order to be a good international trader or international logistics manager, the students should be very familiar with the responsibilities of international logistican .they are responsible for: Arranging transportation of these goods over thousands of miles;Understanding the trade-off between the different modes of transportation available and making the correct decision;Making sure that the goods are packed properly for their journey;Insuring the goods appropriately while in transit and understanding the risks they face;Minimizing the risks associated with international payment by selecting the right payment currency or the right hedging strategy;Making sure that the goods are accompanied by the proper documents so that they can clear customs in the country of destination;Defining properly who between them and their foreign counterparts is responsible for which aspects of the voyage and the documents;Determining which method is most suitable for payment between exporter and importer.so after learn this course ,the studens will have a good understanding of the concepts covered and information involved.

International Logistics by Donald F. Wood , Anthony Barone , Paul Murphy , Daniel L. Wardlow课前预习：通过网上学习学时以及该生在课堂上的表现进行考核，该项占总成绩30%。
案例学习：除了可以参考主讲教师上传的典型案例，学生也可以自己挖掘与课程有关的案例，对案例的学习采用小组报告和个人报告两种形式。3-5人结成学习小组，每个小组必须都要到台前做案例讲解，为了避免搭便车情况出现，要求小组成员均要发言，并且对主讲教师以及台下同学随机提出的问题进行合理的回答，该项表现占总成绩20%。在课程结束前需要每位同学提交与国际物流学有关的课程报告，报告的内容可以分析主讲教师推荐的典型案例，也可以自我挖掘，该项表现占总成绩25%。
随堂测试：安排两次随堂测试，测试以全英文形式进行，主要考察学生对基础理论和知识的掌握程度。两次随堂测试共占总成绩25%。
