Welcome to the second part of your course HTMP – Hospitality and Tourism Management Program. In the first part we have covered several aspects of the hospitality industry, tourism and more particularly the hotel management aspects.

We have focused on the organization of a hotel, technical aspects of operational departments and particular knowledge and skills required to be able to work in a hotel, mainly from the entry level to the supervisory level positions.

The second part of this course will mainly focus on two important traits of the hospitality business; leadership and management.

Throughout the 16 chapters we will explore the leadership skills, operational leadership and qualities needed in order to manage business operations.

In other words, we will explore further the competences required, that you are not only executing the job yourself but also you are leading and managing a team of people to reach the targets and goals of the company.
