President Xi Jinping stressed “improving the country's capacity for engaging in international communication to present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of China…greater efforts to construct China's own discourse and narrative”, when addressing a group study session of the Political Bureau of the CPCCentral Committee in 2021. In fact, Xi Jinping indicated that we must do a better job of "telling China's stories, and conveying China's voice" at the National Publicity and Ideological Work Conference in August 2013. It shows that President Xi is not only the advocate but also the lead practitioner of this idea of strengthening China’s international communication.
