Rosa Parks：罗莎 · 帕克斯（1913—2005），是一位美国黑人民权行动主义者，美国国会后来称她为“现代民权运动之母”。1955年，在美国民权运动进行到一个关键转折点时，帕克斯在实行种族隔离政策的阿拉巴马州蒙哥马利市的一辆公共汽车上拒绝为一个白人男子让座。帕克斯因此遭到逮捕，最终导致了一场长达一年的公共汽车抵制运动。1956年，美国最高法院宣布在公共交通上禁止实行种族隔离政策。
