A: Have you heard the term “Office Automation”?
B: yes, of course. And I also know that the possibilities of Office Automation Software are endless, but I’m not sure how to use them on my computer. Would you show me the way to use them?
A: No problem.
B: How can I access and share my Microsoft Office documents online?
A: Oh, it’s very simple. Here you see SkyDrive at the top of your screen, just click it.
B: Really, if you want to access these PowerPoit, Excel, and Word documents online, edit them and easily share them with others at work or at home, on a PC or a Mac, what should I prepare?
A: At least you’ll need an Internet connection, a supported browser and a free Windows Live ID.
B: I learned that Microsoft Office Web Apps cab make the work easier, and why?
A: Because they extend your Microsoft Office experience to the web browser, where you can work with documents right there on the website where the document is stored.
B: You mean by using Office Web Apps, a website becomes a new storage device for my Office documents which are made easy to access and easy to share.
A: That’s right.
B: Now I am running Microsoft Office 2010 programs on my computer, can I start using Office Web Apps?
A: Yes, you can use them by saving your document to your SkyDrive or your SharePoint library.Documentsdon’t need to be created in Office 2010 to be opened in Office Web Apps.
B: How can I view and share the document with others?
A: If you want to view it, just clink it, if you plan to share it with other people, just send them a link.
B: It’s amazing.
A: That’s true. With Office Web Apps, your documents are like web pages because they are stored on a website and displayed in the browser.
B: I’ve learned something new about Microsoft Office from you, thanks a lot.
A: It’s my pleasure.
