简介:龙川猫头狮,又称金狮,其狮头是民间喜庆活动常用的道具,始于清朝时期,制作工序有近百道,融汇了泥塑、彩绘、裱糊等民间工艺。龙川猫头狮制作精致、栩栩如生,先用草纸一层一层往狮头模上裱糊,待其风干后,经过抛光、上白、贴金箔、彩绘、装饰、狮头重于彩绘,狮头绘制的图案纹样内容丰富,图案主要有八仙宝器,即铁拐李的葫芦、张果老的渔鼓、汉钟离的葵扇、吕洞宾的宝剑、蓝采和的花篮、韩湘子的箫管、何仙姑的荷花、曹国舅的笏板,及双凤朝牡丹、双龙戏珠、祥云、菊等各种图案,象征吉祥如意,彰显狮子为祥瑞之物,别具一格。狮头使用大红、大绿、黄、黑、白、金等色彩进行对比表现,互相衬托,使其鲜艳夺目,富丽堂皇。龙川猫头狮造型拟人化,其额头高,眼大、眉精、杏鼻、口大有笑容,充分体现狮子威武,又不失活泼可爱的样子,极具地方特色。金狮狮头用纸制作而成,轻便宜于表演者舞动,舞狮时更灵活、生动,经久耐用,几十年不会开裂,不褪色。除此之外,还有防虫、防蛀的特点,使用百年不会变形。龙川猫头狮制作技艺融合了泥塑、彩绘等艺术,色彩明快,节奏感强烈,具有较高的艺术价值。民俗传统认为舞狮子可以驱邪辟鬼。故此每逢喜庆节日,人们都喜欢敲锣打鼓,进行舞狮表演,对推动优秀传统文化传播具有重要的意义。

英译:Longchuan Cathead Lion, also known as "Golden Lion," uses lion heads that are commonlyused props in folk celebratory activities. Originating in the Qing Dynasty, its production processinvolves nearly a hundred steps, blending folk crafts such as clay sculpture, painting, andmounting. The making of Longchuan Cathead Lion is meticulous and lifelike. It begins with layeringpaper onto the lion head mold with paste. After drying, it undergoes polishing, whitewashing, gilding, painting, and decoration. The patterns on the lion head are rich and varied, featuringsymbols of auspiciousness such as the "Eight Immortals' Treasures," including Iron Crutch Li'sgourd, Zhang Guolao's fish drum, Han Zhongli's sunflower fan, Lu Dongbin's sword, Lan Caihe'sflower basket, Han Xiangzi's flute, He Xiangu's lotus flower, and Cao Guojiu's tablet. Otherdesigns include twin phoenixes with peonies, twin dragons playing with pearls, auspicious clouds, and chrysanthemums, symbolizing good fortune and happiness, highlighting the lion as anauspicious creature in a distinctive manner. Longchuan Cathead Lion use contrasting colors such as bright red, green, yellow, black, white, and gold, enhancing each other to create a striking and magnificent appearance. The Cathead lion's humanoid form features a high forehead, large eyes, delicate eyebrows, almond-shaped nose, and a large mouth with a smiling expression, embodying both the majesty ofa lion and a lively, adorable demeanor, showcasing distinct local characteristics. Made of paper, the Golden Lion head is lightweight and easy for performers to manipulate, ensuring flexibility15and durability during lion dance performances. It is known for its longevity, as it remainscrack-free and colorfast for decades. Additionally, it boasts insect and moth resistance, maintaining its shape for over a century. The craftsmanship of Longchuan Cathead lion integrates clay sculpture, painting, and otherarts, displaying vibrant colors and a strong rhythmic sense, thus possessing high artistic value. According to folk traditions, lion dances are believed to ward off evil spirits, making them asignificant part of festive celebrations where people enjoy drumming and lion dance performances, thereby promoting the dissemination of excellent traditional culture.
