英译:Hakka nursery rhymes from Heyuan refer to children's songs sung in the Heyuan Hakkadialect, constituting an important branch of nursery rhymes in the Hakka region. Hakka nurseryrhymes often draw inspiration from rural life in Heyuan, characterized by their simple and freshlanguage and filled with childlike innocence, serving as a mirror reflecting Hakka culture. Based on their content, Hakka nursery rhymes can be broadly classified into four categories:educational, playful, humorous, and lullabies. They cover a wide range of topics includingastronomy, geography, weather, farming, fishing, shipping, cuisine, daily routines, love, marriage, and understanding of life. Heyuan Hakka nursery rhymes exhibit a free, flexible, and diverse form, predominantly using three-character verses but also incorporating four-character, five-character, and seven-character verses. They often feature stacked tones, strong rhythmic sense, well-structured parallelism, and skillful use of metaphors, analogies, contrasts, exaggeration, andnarrative techniques. The themes are distinct and prominent, easy to recite and sing, achieving ahigh integration of song and poetry. They are the crystallization of wisdom from generations ofhardworking Hakka people in Heyuan, reflecting their labor and life experiences, as well as theirartistic tastes.
