Dialogue: Talking about Land Freight Transport


Direction: A is an intermediary（中介）in international trade and B is a freightforwarder. A is inquiring about changing the means of transport.


A: Could you ship our goods by truck?

B: Why? According to our contract we should ship them by train.

A: We hope we can receive the goods as soon aspossible(ASAP). Generally speaking, it's faster in despite of more expensive to ship goods by truckthan by train.

B: Don't worry. We will have no trouble in meeting your delivery date.(交货日期)

A: But, there are many factors that may lead to delay. Could you change the means of transport？

B: I'm sorry. If the customer requests a truck other than train, he must bear the additional charge.

A: Since you promise that you will deliver the goods on time, we don't insist on the changing.

B: All right. Thank you.
