主语从句

引导主语从句的常用连接词有：who，whom，whose，which，whosever，whatever，whichever，that，whether，what，when，where，why，how等。例如：

That we shall be punished is certain.

How China has been able to achieve so much in so short a time is something unthinkable to some foreign countries.

Who he is doesn’t concern me.

What he did is not yet known.

由于主语从句放在句首，往往使句子显得头重脚轻。因而常用形式主语it 代替主语从句置于句首，从句则放在句末。例如：

It is certain that we will be punished.

It’s not yet known what she did.

It is reported that another earth satellite has been put into orbit.

How strange it is that the children are so quiet!
