Vocabulary Time

Based on the quesionaire data analysis, your vocabulary knowledge should be improved further. So in this section, let's review all the words which have been studied in the primary school, junior middle school and senior middle school. 

I. Primary School English Vocabulary

1. Direction:  There are totally 845 words  in primary school English. First, review all of these 845 words. The majority of these words will be very familiar and simple to you.  You'd better to go through them quickly and just pass these familiar and simple words. Then note down all of the new words  and memorize them once again.


2. Quiz Time

Direction:  Finish the following quizzes by yourself.  



II. Junior Middle School English Vocabulary

  1. Direction:  There are totally 2182 words  in the junior middle school English. First, review all of these 2182 words.  As you can see, the primary school English vocabulary  is included as well and most of the junior middle school  words are difficult than the primary school ones. You'd better to go through them gradually and just pass these familiar and simple words. Then note down all of the new words  and memorize them once again.  Remember, take your time and make sure all of these 2165 words should be momorized solidly.

Direction:  Finish the following quizzes by yourself.  







III. Senior Middle School English Vocabulary

  1.  Direction:  There are almost 3000 words  in the senior middle school English. First, review all of these 3000 words.  As you can see, the junior middle school English vocabulary  is included as well and most of the senior middle school  words are much more difficult than the junior middle school ones. You'd better to go through them gradually and just pass these familiar and simple words. Then note down all of the new words  and memorize them once again.  Remember, take your time and make sure all of these 3000 words should be momorized solidly.

《论语》子张篇第五章,子夏曰:“日知其所亡,月无忘其所能,可谓好学也已矣。”  子夏提出的这种学习方法“日知其所亡,月无忘其所能”,其实就是对孔子提出的“温故知新”的阐发。这是一种最基本的学习方法,求新温故,才算好学。

英语词汇的学习尤其需要不断温故,不停温故, 不厌温故。切不可小熊掰苞米,掰一个丢一个,最终一无所获。

单词学习的魅力在于,单词记忆到一定数量后,大脑中犹如结出了一张细细密密的网,自动就能网住很多之后接触的生单词。
