Host: A horrible crash in Winnetka. Police think a man was driving drunk and speeding. And in the end, a driver lost her life. Another passenger is in grave condition. The crash happened near Roscoe Boulevard in Irondale in Winnetka.
A short time ago, relatives of the victim showed up to the crash scene. The woman crying says the driver killed was her sister and that she was a single mother. KCAL9’s Kara Finnstrom has more now from neighbors.
Interviewee A:Yeah. We just hear the screaming sound. And next thing you just get worse and worse and worse. It was so loud.
Kara Finnstrom:Donald Pram says he and his family rushed outside and will never forget what they saw.

Kara Finnstrom: Therapist Chris Meyers and his neighbors quickly focused on the Challenger. It was burning with three people trapped inside.
Kara Finnstrom: Therapist Chris Meyers and his neighbors quickly focused on the Challenger. It was burning with three people trapped inside.
Therapist: Neighbors across the street were with buckets putting the car out on fire ,driver really confused bleeding, comforted him a little bit, saw passenger was arm out of the window, checked his pulse.
Kara Finnstrom: Fire crews pulled up within minutes, cut off the roof and rushed everyone inside to the hospital. Pram wished the woman behind the wheel of this car had that second chance.
Interviewee B:Forget about thinking and driving. It is really sad what innocent people has to go through.
Kara Finnstrom: Police have not yet released the name of the woman who died because they say they're still trying to reach some of our loved ones. Detectives tell us that a passenger in the Challenger is in the hospital in grave condition, and that two others were in that car suffered serious injuries.
