一、教材分析
本课教学内容选自教材Unit 4读写部分,要求学生能读懂有关志愿者招募的文章,判断出文章的行文逻辑,了解国际志愿者日的文化背景,理解志愿者工作的意义,完成志愿者申请的短文写作。
二、学情分析
经过前两节课的学习,学生已经初步了解的志愿者活动,能够针对申请志愿工作主题的基本问题作出回答,包括介绍个人性格特点、技能和经历,阐述申请志愿者的理由,但是学生们对真实情景的场景还缺乏应对和灵活的变化,对志愿工作的价值和意义还需要深入解。
三、教学目标
1. 学生能够读懂有关故宫志愿者招募的文章并判断文章结构;
2. 学生能够根据需要准确提取关键信息进行对比,分析,判断;
3. 学生能够运用句式表阐述志愿者工作的意义和价值;

四、教学重点、难点分析
教学重点:读懂故宫志愿者招募的文章,分析出文章结构。
教学难点:运用写作结构进行主题写作,并体现积极的价值观念。

1. 用课前调查汇报的方式切入本课主题。

(1)学生根据自身或课前调查情况讨论志愿者活动的益处,为后续阅读活动做铺垫。
*(2)拓展活动:教师展示课前问卷的统计数据,学生讨论并回答问题:

(设计意图:本环节首先通过真实的数据反映目前社会对志愿者活动的认知,进而深入志愿者意义的理解,为阅读中的故宫志愿者和志愿者日的相关内容进行意义上的迁移,形成价值理解。)
Step 3 While-reading
1. Read and underline.
处理教材活动10,可分两步:
(1)阅读策略复习:根据文章配图、标题、主题句、段落首句判断文章主题和段落大意。
(2)学生快速浏览短文,寻找主题关键词,选出合适的标题。
2. Read and match.
(1)处理教材活动11。学生再读文段,根据文章中的关键词句推断段落主题,与主题句匹配。

(1) 写作准备活动:学生依据上面的表格主题句,整理写作结构。

学生细读课文,找出原文中与下面类似的句子再对比异同,判断下列表述是否正确。

原文:With a history of over 600 years, the Palace Museum in Beijing receives over 19 million visitors from home and abroad. (信息不一致)

(设计意图:本环节借助阅读策略,推断文章的关键信息、归纳文章结构,推断出基本的写作结构,为后续写作环节做好铺垫。同时侧重培养学生在阅读过程中通过快速阅读寻找关键词,细读对比、分析并提炼关键信息,从而解读文本内涵的能力。)
Step 4 Post-reading

(1)教师布置任务,学生在阅读中搜索有关故宫志愿者需求的所有信息,并分类。

introducing the architecture and exhibits to visitors;

(2) 学生读取志愿者信息,找出每个志愿者的特点和专长。

Step 5 Writing
1. Think and complete 处理教材活动14。
学生根据自己的情况填写故宫志愿者表格。教师引导学生在分享表格时,表达个人对志愿者工作的情感。
(设计意图:本环节是信息输出部分,教师引导学生在反复研读阅读材料的基础上,运用所学语言知识,结合个人特点在真实场景中实践。)
Step 6 Culture Understanding
1.阅读策略复习:通过配图、标题等判断文章主题意义。
2. 通过关键词策略判断文章的段落大意。教师可根据学生的基础和能力可以用连线、总结、问答或讨论等方式完成此活动:

3.文本意义讨论。根据文章最后的个人体验的表达,引导学生谈论自己对志愿工作的体验,从活动层面上升为精神体验层面。

教师引导学生围绕重点短语句型和结构两个方面总结,强调写作段落结构。
