Samples and practice

•Two categories:

•Described objectively to provide information about the climate of a region;

•Described in literary work as to make the plot graphic and to bring the setting to life(subjectively)

•Sample 1 is a good example of the first category as to describe the seasons in Canada;

•Sample 2 is a vivid description of the experience with a thunderstorm;

•Sample 3 describes a riverbank with the application of personification.
