Sample 1

•Warm-up: choose a special kind of local food in your hometown to describe to your neighbors, and then answer the questions in accordance with you description.

•

•Reading:

•1. pay special attention to the words and expression used for special kind of food;

•2. learn the way to express major idea in main clause and extra information in subordinate clause

•3. learn the arrangement of a good piece of description.


•Activity 1: follow the organization of the passage; supply the detailed information


•Imitate the major sentences patterns, paying special attention to the function of the sentence and the grammatical features of the alternatives;


•Activity 2: Transmit the answers on page 93 to a passage by imitating sample 1.
