As a practical training textbook supporting the course Power Plant Fuel Analysis, Guidelines for Power Plant Fuel Analysis and Supervision takes the entire on-site work process of coal quality testing positions in thermal power plants as its logical main line. It closely focuses on the core links of coal testing (i.e., "sampling, sample preparation, and analysis") and systematically constructs an integrated content system of "theory + practical operation + evaluation".
The textbook focuses on cultivating coal quality testing operation skills and coal quality evaluation methods. Its content covers the definition of coal quality and analysis terminology, the chemical composition and characteristics of coal, the selection standards for power coal, as well as key modules such as coal sampling, proximate analysis (moisture, ash, volatile matter), total sulfur content determination, calorific value testing, and determination of pulverized coal fineness and ash fusibility.
