Dr. Braucher has worked  in the University and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) as a senior scientist and doctral supervisor. He is now group manager of hydrogeological exploration and characterization at AFRY Swiss. He has long year cooperation with Dr. Rui Hu during the time in Germany.  His research area is hydraulic tomography, geothermal energy as well as nuclear waste disposal. 

Braucher博士曾是德国哥廷根大学和瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院的博导，曾主讲过大量的理论和野外实践课程，目前主要研究方向是地热与废料处理。在德国哥廷根大学期间，曾与本课程的主讲胡睿老师共同承担多门课程和科研项目，有着很成功的合作经历。
