赵新是四川大学物理学院微电子系的老师，从教以来，他坚持“以学为中心”，坚持做好课堂教学的探索和改革，主讲集成电路设计基础专业课，深受师生好评；曾获教育部组织的国家级教学竞赛一等奖，省“导航名师”教学大赛三等奖、校教学竞赛一等奖、“探究式-小班化”教学质量优秀奖等；指导“算法研究与机器人开发”协会的同学获得优秀省级大创项目，指导学生获优秀毕业论文二等奖和三等奖，获全国集成电路设计大赛和双创的优秀指导老师、校优秀班主任荣誉称号。坚持科教结合，教研相长，主持多项省和校级教改项目，主持拍摄慕课一门；应工信部邀请主讲五个系列的集成电路相关网课；主持国家自然基金和横向项目各1项，发表多篇学术论文，发明专利6项。
