The head of the mechanicalengineering design and automation department. The head of Jiangsu provincialmachinery foundation experimental teaching demonstration center. The directorof the east China mechanical principle and design teaching association, My researchdirections are modern mechanical design theories and methods, complexelectromechanical systems and structural optimization design, intelligentmechanical transmission, etc. I graduated from Tongji University with theMasters 'Degree of Mechanical Engineering, in 1987, and has been working inNUST ever since. I taught "Mechanisms and Machine Theory" and "MeshingPrinciple and Mechanical drive" for undergraduate and graduate students ofthe School of Mechanical Engineering. I am engaged in meshing principle andmechanical transmission of the teaching and research work for decades and winthe honorary title of “Famous Teacher of Jiangsu Province”. I undertake andcomplete a few of research projects including National Torch Plan, National KeyScientific and Technological Achievements Promotion Plan, National Science and TechnologyMajor Project and National Defense Pre-research Program, etc. I have won 5provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress and3 provincial education achievement first prize, more than 10 other awards. I publishedmore than 40 research papers and owed more than 20 patents. I published books “MechanicalPrinciples and Design"(including first and second volumes), “Fundamentalsof Mechanical Design”, in in Chinese. I guide college students to participatein mechanical innovation design competition for college students in Jiangsuprovince, and win 3 second prize in national competition, 6 first prize inprovincial competition. The undergraduate graduation thesis directed by me wasawarded 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes.
