主要从事凝聚态物理、现代热力学理论、材料物理和新材料开发应用的前沿课题研究。研究方向:(1) 新型低维光电子器件,微电子、半导体纳米器件的理论研究;(2)微电子,低维半导体材料,纳米器件的光、电、热转换理论与器件的研究设计;(3) 现代热力学理论、受限量子与纳米材料的统计理论、人造低维半导体光电转换理论研究;(4)新材料、新能源的开发应用;(5)石墨烯、黑磷等低维材料激发态、光学、磁学特性的应用及机理研究。
