1.concentrate第一层意思=focus（集中，专心）

  1.1 concentrated on=focus on（专注于某事），比如，当一个人又累又饿时，会很难concentrate on／focus on his work（集中精力工作）

  1.2 sth concentrates the mind（某物使头脑清醒），比如，在按摩浴缸里放松concentrates the mind wonderfully

  1.3 concentrate all one’s efforts on doing sth（全力以赴做某事），比如，奥运前夕，运动员们are concentrating all their efforts on preparing for the Olympic Games（全力备战奥运）

2.concentrate第二层意思=gather（聚集），固定搭配：A is concentrated in B（A集中在B）  

  2.1我国的重工业区are concentrated in north-eastern regions（集中在东北部地区）

  2.2斯大林统治期间，权利was concentrated in the president（集于总统一身）
