3.1难点解析：这里的do或doing必须是个延续体的动词，否则，瞬时的动作是不可能有“停止”的，所以不可以说：The bomb ceased to explode，因为这不合情理。但是主语变成复数bombs 就可以，因为这样的话瞬时动作不是一下子发生就完了，而是形成一个延续的系列过程；同样，不可以说：John ceased to have a fit of anger，因为这个“发怒”是一下子的事，但是，即使是瞬间动词，如果指的是反复或习惯，就可以“停止”。比如，John ceased to have fits of anger（约翰不再动不动就发火了）或是：John ceased to have a fit of anger every time he saw me（约翰不再一看见我就发火了）
