1.decline作动词=refuse（谢绝）

  1.1 为了严格执行晚餐断食的计划，他declined his friend’s invitation to dinner（谢绝了朋友请吃晚饭的邀请）

  1.2 decline to do sth（拒绝做某事），比如，明星一般都会decline to comment about the gossip（拒绝就绯闻发表评论），因为有些事越描越黑

2.decline作动词还可以=go down（下降，衰退）
