全名为迈克尔·彭博(Michael Bloomberg)，又译作迈克尔·布隆伯格。曾创立彭博通讯社也担任其总裁，以其个人能力将彭博通讯社发展为全球有名的通讯机构，2001年彭博从彭博通讯社总裁的位置上退下来加入了纽约市市长的竞选，并获得成功；2009年11月，彭博再次获得纽约市市长的连任，这是他第三次任纽约市市长。2013年11月，由于受到连任期的限制，彭博没有再次竞选纽约市市长。但他已经连任三届，为纽约市工作共计12年。
