强调句强调状语时，除了可以强调副词和介词短语外，还可以强调各种状语从句。

It is on this arable land that the farmers produce food for the whole population of China．(人教大纲版高一下第45页)

就在这些耕地上，农民们生产了供给全中国人口的粮食。

It was only later that the world recognised his greatness．(人教大纲版高二上第7页)

直到后来世人才承认了他的伟大。

It was on a night in November that I looked at the result of my work．(人教大纲版高二下第15页)

那是在11月份的一个夜晚，我审视了我的工作成果。

It was when she was about to go to bed that the telephone rang．

是在她即将上床睡觉时电话铃响了。

It was because I wanted to buy a dictionary that I went to town yesterday．

提示：

在it为引导词的强调句型中，表语通常不可以作分裂句的中心成分，如在规范英语中通常不说:

It is beautiful that she is．

It is chairman of the Committee that he is．

但是宾语补足语是可以这样用的:

It is the chairman of the committee that they elected him．

他们选他是作委员会主席。

It is green that they have painted the wall．

他们给墙壁漆的是绿色。
