3.as if，as though引导的方式状语从句

as if和as though两者的意义和用法相同，引出的状语从句谓语多用虚拟语气，表示与事实相反，有时也用陈述语气，用于说明情况是事实或实现的可能性较大。汉译常作“仿佛……似的”，“好像……似的”。(参见虚拟语气)

提示：

as if和as though还可以引导表语从句。

It looked as if the creature had moved．(人教大纲版高一上第83页)

塑像好像动了动。

After dinner my uncle said he wanted to sleep，and it seemed as if he really did so．(人教大纲版高二上第76页)

饭后叔叔说，他想睡觉，仿佛他真的想睡觉。

I wish they wouldn't treat me as if I were a child．(人教大纲版高二下第51页)

我希望他们不要把我看成小孩子。

提示：

as if后面出现不定式、现在分词、过去分词，实质上是as if从句的简略形式，省掉了与主句相同的主语和be动词。as if引导的是方式状语从句。(参见状语从句的省略)

She winked at me as if to say that I shouldn't say anything．=She winked at me as if she were to say that I shouldn't say anything．
