3.关系代词作表语与宾补时的省略

关系代词在定语从句中作表语和宾补时有时可以省略。

I am not the man(that)I was．(人教大纲版高三第62页)

我现在不是过去的我了。

After the Second World War，Australia began to transform itself into the modern country(that)it is today．(人教大纲版高三第23页)

第二次世界大战之后，澳大利亚才开始把自己转变成今天这样的现代化国家。

She is all(that)a teacher should be．(that作be的表语)

她具备了一个老师应该具备的所有条件。

I'm not the fool(that)you thought me．(that作thought的宾语me的补语)

我不是你以前所认为的那个傻子了。

He is the nicest teacher(that)the students consider him in their school．(that作consider的宾语him的补语)

他就是学生们认为的学校中最好的那个老师。

提示：

在后面两个例句中我们可以认为关系代词that是宾语的表语，因为宾语和宾补之间有逻辑上的主谓关系。I'm not the fool(that)you thought me．=I'm not the fool(that)you thought me to be．
