5.关于形式宾语it

(1)如果宾语从句后有宾语补足语，从句必须移至句末，而用it作形式宾语放在前面。

The experiment makes it clear that air has pressure．

实验表明空气是有压力的。

We thought it strange that Xiao Wang did not come yesterday．

我们认为小王昨天没来是奇怪的。

We think it wrong that he didn't help her．

我们认为他不帮助她是不对的。

I feel it possible that you will finish the work in a day．

我觉得你在一天之内完成这项工作是有可能的。

One of the mottos for the park—“Relying on science，technology and knowledge to increase economic power”—makes it clear that science and business can and must work together to build the future．(人教大纲版高二下第4页)

这个园区的口号之一是:“依靠科学、技术和知识来发展经济实力。”它阐明了科学和商业能够而且必须结合在一起共创未来。

(2)that从句不可以作介词宾语(in，but，except除外)，如果要作介词宾语的话，前面要用先行词it。在rely on，depend on，see to，look to，insist on，answer for，count on等短语动词后跟that引导的宾语从句时，可以用it先行，然后再跟从句。

You may rely on it that I shall help you．

你可以指望我会帮助你的。

You can depend on it that he'll come on time．

他会准时到的，这点你放心。

Look to it that this does not happen again．

要注意这种事情不要再发生了。

I'll answer for it that this man is honest．

我担保这个人是诚实的。

They are all counting on it that the conference will be a success．

他们都指望这次会议取得成功。

Well，I'll see to it that you get some material today，if possible．(人教大纲版高二上第79页)

在这个句子中to it省掉了。

(3)有些及物动词需要使用that从句作宾语时，并不直接与that从句连用，而要使用形式宾语，让that从句作真实宾语。have it that，take it that，take it for granted that，can't help it that就是其中的例证。

Rumors have it that the school was burned down．

有谣言说学校给烧掉了。

The report has it that no one was to blame for the air crash．

报告断言，这次空难谁都没有责任。

As you have not asked for a seat to be reserved for you，I take it that you are not coming．

由于你没有要求给你留座位，我以为你不会来的。

Don't take it for granted that all those who get good grades in the entrance examination will prove to be most successful．

不要以为那些在入学考试中获得好成绩的人必定是成功的。

We can't help it that things went badly．

事情搞得这么糟糕，我们是控制不了的。

偶尔也可见到can't help直接跟that从句的。

(4)形式宾语it和作形式主语的it一样，除了代替that引导的从句外，还可以代替if，whether和wh-引导的从句。

I can't help it if he doesn't come．

他要是不来，我也没法子。

I like it when she kisses me．

我喜欢她亲吻我。

He made it clear why he didn't come．

他说明了他没有来的原因。
