1.在suggest等引导的宾语从句中

在动词suggest，recommend(推荐)，advise，beg，instruct(命令、告知)，order，demand，propose，request，require，command，insist，prefer，ask，decide，arrange，desire，advocate(提倡、鼓吹)，urge(催促、力劝)，direct(指挥)，move(鼓动、提议)等后的宾语从句中用虚拟语气，即用should+动词原形或不带to的动词不定式来表示愿望、建议、命令、请求等。A young man in our group suggested that I stay behind with the children，and wait for help．(人教大纲版高三第50页)

我们组里的一个年轻人建议我同孩子们一起留下来，等待别人帮助。

Many hospitals recommend that we use the letters DRABC to remember what to do when we have to think fast．(人教大纲版高二上第59页)

许多医院建议我们，在必须快速思考时采用DRABC这些字母来记住我们要做的事情。

We advise that steps(should)be taken at once．

我们建议立即采取行动。

He begged that he(should/might)be allowed to go．

他恳求准许他离开。

The judge instructed that the witness(should)tell the whole truth．

法官告诉证人，他应当说出全部实情。

I ordered that the gate should be locked．

我下令关上大门。

They demanded that the right to vote be given to every adult man．

他们要求每个成年人都应享有选举权。

The chairman proposed that they should stop the meeting．

主席提议他们休会。

提示：

decide后面的虚拟语气不是强制性的。

The committee decided that measures should be taken to reduce air pollution immediately．

委员会决定立即采取措施以减少污染。

The commanding officer decided that no one be admitted without a special pass．

指挥官决定没有特别通行证任何人都不准进来。

I arranged that Tom should meet him．

我安排汤姆去接他。

It is desired that we get everything ready by tonight．

我们希望今晚以前一切准备妥当。

He advocates that you should take cold baths in the morning．

他提倡你早上洗冷水澡。

He moved that a vote be taken．他提议采取投票表决。

提示：

①当suggest表示“暗示”，insist表示“坚持某种观点”，advise表示“通知、告知”时，后接的宾语从句当用陈述语气。请对比:

②在非正式语体中，suggest表“建议”时，后面的宾语从句亦可使用陈述语气。

I suggest that you don't ask him for the vacation．

我建议你不要请他一块儿去度假。

Her uncle suggests that she gets a job in a bank．
