9.用于as/though/that引导的让步状语从句

as/though/that可以置于名词、形容词、副词、分词和动词原形之后,使用部分倒装。具体包括以下几种情况。(参见状语从句)

(1)名词+as/though/that+主语+be。

Child as/though/that the little girl is,she knows several foreign languages.

虽然还是个小女孩,她已掌握了几门外语了。

(2)形容词+as/though/that+主语+be。

Angry as/though/that he was,he didn't lose his temper.

虽然他很生气,但是还是没有发脾气。

(3)分词+as/though/that+主语+be。

Exhausted though he was,he was unable to sleep.

尽管他很累了,但仍无法入睡。

Raining hard as it is,I'm going out.

即使雨下得很大,我还是要出去。

(4)副词+as/though/that+主语+动词。

Much as/though/that I like you,I will not marry you.

虽然我喜欢你,但我却不能嫁给你。

(5)动词原形+as/though/that+主语+助动词/情态动词。

Search as/though/that they would,they could find nothing in the house.由他们去搜吧,他们在这个房子里什么也找不到的。

Die as he did,his impression lived on.

他虽死了,但是他的影响仍然存在。

提示:

as和that用在倒装句中,还有可能表示原因。(参见状语从句)

Tired that he was,he went to bed early.

因为累了,他很早就上床休息了。

Realizing as I do that I'll be very much occupied in the afternoon,Imust send off all these letters this morning.

考虑到下午我会有很多事要做,所以今天上午我必须把这些信件寄出去。
