2.动名词的被动形式

如果一个动名词逻辑上的主语所表示的是这个动作的承受者，这个动名词一般说来要用被动形式。

You can't go out without being allowed．

没有人批准你不能出去。

You can't eat anything before being operated on．

在动手术之前你不能吃东西。

This math problem is far from being worked out．

这道数学难题还远没有解出来。

Did you mind being punished by the teacher?

你受到老师的惩罚不介意吗?

提示：

在动词need，want，require，deserve之后的动名词(作为宾语)，要用主动语态来表示被动的意思。

The flowers in the garden want watering．

院子里的花需要浇水。

That's one of those questions that really don't need answering．

那是确实不需回答的问题之一。

在worth之后也用主动形式表示被动。

The film is worth seeing a second time．

这部电影值得再看一次。
