2.表示过去习惯性动作

(1)表示过去习惯性动作的一般过去时通常要用一定的时间状语或表示频度的状语。

He smoked a lot ten years ago.

十年前他抽烟很多。

We went to school together when we were boys and so we saw each other every day.

我们小的时候总是一起上学,因此我们我们每天都会看到对方。

Asked how often they were being teased,19%of the students said that this happened once a week,while 8%said they were teased and bullied every day.(人教大纲版高三第228页)

当被问起他们被耍弄的频率时,19%的学生说这样的事情一个星期一次,而8%的学生说他们每天都会受到欺侮和嘲弄。

He gave some gifts frequently.

他时常给我送些礼物。

(2)used to和would常用来表示过去习惯性动作。
