3.当及物动词用时

dare作为及物动词有其过去式。如用在否定句和疑问句中，随后的不定式可带to，也可不带to。

I don't dare to use the phone in school，because they will take it away fromme．(人教大纲版高一上第59页)

我不敢在学校里使用手机，因为他们会没收的。

I don't dare(to)ask her．

我不敢问他。

No one dared say that he could not see the Emperor's new clothes．

谁也不敢说看不见皇帝的新衣。

I wonder how he dared(to)say that．

我感到纳闷他怎么敢这样说。
