2.dare的过去式

dare作为情态动词有其过去式dared，但也可以使用dare指过去时间。

Yet，our water supply was so low that we dared not share it with the beasts．(人教大纲版高三第49页)

然而我们的水太少了，不敢同牲口一起分享。

The president was so angry that no one dare/dared tell him the bad news．

董事长很生气，谁也不敢告诉他这个坏消息。

Tom wanted to come，but he daren't．

汤姆想来，但是不敢。

提示：

dare与不定式的完成式搭配，只能用于否定句，表示“过去不敢”。

I daren't have asked him when we met．

我们见面的时候，我不敢问他。
