1.比较级+than any other等

“比较级+than any other+单数名词”、“比较级+than all the other+复数名词”、“比较级+than any of the other+复数名词”、“比较级+than any of theothers”或“比较级+than anything/anybody/anyone else”等结构可表示最高级。

He is taller than any other boy in his class．

他比他们班所有的男生都高。

I like physics better than anything else．

我喜欢物理胜过其他所有学科。

Bamboo probably has more uses than any other plant in the world．

竹子或许比世界上任何植物的用途都要多。

China has a larger population than any other country in the world．

中国比世界上所有其他国家的人口都要多。

提示：

当比较的对象不在同一范围内时，不用other或．．else。当然这时的比较级不表示最高级。

China has a larger population than any country in Africa。

中国的人口比任何一个非洲国家的人口都要多。
