4.“最……”的表示

用形容词或副词的最高级是最常见的表示“最……”的表达方法。

I think it's the most useful invention ever．(人教大纲版高一上第60页)我认为这是世界上最有用的发明。

In which year did the fewest tourists visit the country?

哪一年来这个国家的游客最少?

提示：

此句中的fewest是限定词。(参见限定词)

As with most diseases and disasters，the young suffer the most．(人教大纲版高二上第51页)

就像大多数疾病或灾难一样，最遭罪的是年轻人。

在我们中间他跑得最快。

提示：

在形容词或副词的最高级中经常要使用定冠词the，有时副词的最高级可以省掉the。

但是形容词最高级前省掉定冠词意思就不一样了，这时表示“极其”、“很”的意思。
