1.规则变化

绝大多数的形容词和副词的比较级和最高级都是规则变化，就是在形容词和副词后加词尾-er，-est。

提示：

①表示消极意义的比较，不论是单音节词，还是双音节词，以及多音节词均可以用“less+原级”和“least+原级”构成。

He is less tall than I．

The matter is less important．

This is less easy．

He is the least careful of the three．

②现代英语中倾向于用“not so．．as”或“more+反义的词”;最高级用“most+反义的词”来表达。

He is not so tall as I．

He is the most careless of the three．

③现代英语中，加-er和-est构成比较等级的形容词，在带有than引导的比较状语从句里作表语时常采用加more的形式。

He is more clever than Bob．

He was more fit for his office than anyone else．
