3.指量用法

(1)不定冠词用来表示“一”这个数量，意思和one差不多。

Rome was not built in a day．

罗马不是一天建成的。

The plan will be ready in a week or two．

计划一两周内就可定好。

(2)不定冠词用在表示数量、时间等的名词前，表示“每一(单位)……的价格、速度、顺序等”。(这时a(n)=per)

The apples are ten yuan a kilogram．

这些苹果每公斤10元钱。

Tom drives a car at 60 miles an hour．

汤姆以每小时60英里的速度开车。

I go back home once a month．

我每月回家一次。

Take the medicine three times a day．

这个药一天服三次。

(3)常与hundred，thousand，million，score，dozen以及数目及数量连用。

That factory turns out at least a hundred tyres a day．

这个厂每天至少生产100个轮胎。

Noel's monthly salary is a thousand dollars．

诺埃尔每个月的工资是1 000美元。

There are a dozen eggs in the basket．

篮子里有一打鸡蛋。

This paper bag will hold about a score of loaves．

(4)用在“a+形容词+数词”结构中。

这种结构表示对数字的评估或说话人的口气。

(5)a与one的区别。

a与one同源，a可当作one的弱式，强调数目概念时用one，要重读。

I only want one ticket．You've given me two．

我只要一张票。你却给了我两张。

That's the one thing we needed．

那是我们唯一需要的东西。

There is only one way to do it．

只有一个办法做这件事。
