5.与单数可数名词搭配的限定词

只能与单数可数名词搭配的限定词有a/an，another，either，neither，one，each，every等。

Tom Hanks plays a man named Chuck Noland．

汤姆·汉克斯扮演一位名叫查克·诺兰德的男子。

He is an electrician．

他是位电工。

Let me have another try．

让我再试一次。

提示：

another后跟除one以外的基数词时，被修饰的名词用复数。

We have another two meetings this week．=We have two more meetings this week．

这个星期我们还有两个会。

There are two trains bound for Shanghai．You may take either train．有两趟开往上海的火车。你可以搭乘其中的任何一趟。

提示：

either指两个中的任何一个，但在on either side of the street，at either end of the boat等搭配中有时兼指两个。

There are trees on either side of the street．

马路两边都有树。

Neither sentence is correct．

两个句子都不正确。

提示：

在either．．or．．neither．．nor．．并列结构中，有时可以连接两个复数名词。

You can translate either these sentences first or those first．

你可以先翻译这些句子，也可以先翻译那些句子。

I saw neither your children nor his there．
