只能与单数可数名词和不可数名词搭配的限定词有this，that，the least等。

(1)this的用法。

For these reasons，this man has been called the King of Stonehenge．(人教大纲版高二下第76页)

因为这些原因，这个人被称为巨石王。

This weather was simply impossible．(人教大纲版高二上第79页)

这种气候是无法对付的。

提示：

this后面跟有数词的时候，可以与复数名词搭配。this five days=these five days

(2)that的用法。

That invention of his benefits the world a lot．

他的那项发明使整个世界受益颇多。

That tea is too strong forme．

那种茶对我来说太浓了。

提示：

that后面跟有数词的时候，可以与复数名词搭配。that ten dollars=those ten dollars

(3)the least的用法。

He hadn't the least thought of his own interests．

他一点儿也没有想到自己的利益。

They have the least knowledge of the accident．

他们对这个事故浑然不知。

提示：

the least有时可以代替the fewest，后面跟复数名词:

He had the least votes in the election．=He had the fewest votes in the election．

他在选举中得到的票数最少。
