It is very important for all of us to learn to deal with the negative sentences in translating．The scope that a negative word governs varies from sentence to sentence．It may cover a whole sentence or part of a sentence．Therefore negation can be generally divided into complete negation，partial negation，double negation，connotative negation，transferred negation，etc．Now let us discuss them one by one．
