(B) In this letter，the buyer states his difficulties in extending the L/C，as the present situation was beyond his control，he had no alternative but to ask for the seller's cooperation in effecting the shipment as scheduled.

II. Additional notes:

按销售确认书89STX-5491号规定，如你公司的信用证到达我方不迟于15日，可在7月份装运。然而，我们昨天才收到你公司的来证，因此我们绝不可能在7月份装运货物。

在此种情况下，我们抱歉不得不要求你公司把上述信用证的装运期和议付期分别展至8月31日和9月15日。修改书必须在7月15日到达我处，否则装运日期将再次延期。

盼早日收到有关修改书并顺致谢意。

你方6月30日要求把上述信用证的装运期和议付期分别展至8月31日和9月15日的来函已收悉。

So far as we know，the only vessel available thismonth will leave here in a day or two and the deadline for booking shipping space is long past. Therefore it is impossible for us to ship the goods thismonth，and we would ask you to do your best to extend the L/C as requested in our letter of June 30th.

Please act promptly and let us have your reply the soonest possible.

V. Optional reading:

We regret to inform you thatwe are unable to get the goods ready in them iddle of July owing to some delay on the part of ourmanufacturers. They promised they could get the goods ready for shipment early in August.

You are requested to extend the dates of shipment and validity of your L/C to August31 and Sept 15 respectively. We willmake contactw ith ourmanufacturers to expedite delivery to enable us to effect shipment of the goods in time.

Since this is an urgentmatter，please amend the L/C immediately. Your prompt attention to this matterw ill be appreciated.
