1.9.3.1 Online Forms

Online Forms

Many Web sites include online forms for users to fill in with information such as their home address,for example when they are ordering goods.The user enters the information in various form fields(categories of information).Forms typically have the following features:

◆text boxes:spaces for users to type in text.

◆radio buttons:small circular buttons with a dark dot in the centre(when selected),

which users can click on.

◆push buttons:buttons with text which users can click on;these buttons often display the words“submit”,“send”,or“reset”(or“clear”).

◆check boxes:small boxes which the user clicks on to enter a check mark,or a“tick”(√).

◆confirmation page:a page automatically displayed when a user successfully submits information via an online form.(Figure 3 is a given example.)
