164.What are the differences between a tour leader, a national guide and a local tour guide?（领队、全陪、地陪有何区别？）

These three positions have different roles. The titles are not interchangeable.

★A tour leader (also referred to as the tour escort in Central America, or tour conductor in Japan) is assigned by the foreign travel service to accompany the tour group through the whole trip. He/She accompanies the tour group from the passengers’ point of departure to their safe return, and makes sure that the local travel agency fulfills the contract obligations. They work together with the local guide and sometimes a national guide as well.

★A national guide (also known as a tour director or tour manager) is someone who leads a group throughout a country or part of a country. He/She is assigned by the travel company at the tourist destination. He/She is in charge of the liaison work and supervises the implementation of the contract by the local travel agency.

★A local guide, also referred to as a tour guide, is someone who works within an area they know very well. He/She is assigned by the local travel agency, meeting tourists and providing local guiding service.

三者名称不同，但却常常被混淆。

☆领队（在中美洲被称为“旅行陪同”，在日本被称为“观光领队”）是受海外旅行社委派，（代表该旅行社）带领旅游团从事旅游活动的工作人员。领队全程陪同游客，从出发直至安全返回，确保地接社按照合同提供各项服务。领队与地陪，有时还有全陪，合作共事。

☆全陪（也称为旅游经理）是为旅游团（者）提供国内全旅程陪同服务的导游人员。全陪受旅游目的地组团旅行社委派，负责联络工作，监督地接社按照合同实施接待计划。

☆地陪是在其熟悉的地区为旅行团（者）提供服务的人员。受地接社委派，迎接旅游团并为他们提供当地旅游活动安排。

【备注】目前中国旅游服务行业从业人员英语水平普遍提高，工作范围内的常规事宜基本可以用英语沟通解决，大部分入境旅行团为节约成本，基本采用领队与全陪的工作由一人承担的模式。海外旅行公司或自派领队，或要求组团社委派领队，弱化了全陪工作的职责与概念。故以下内容并未具体区分领队或全陪的工作职责。
