J:What is the percentage of media commission in proportion to total media expenditure?

H:The commission is 15% of the total expenditure of the media space we buy for clients.For example,a 30-second spot on television is priced at ¥300,000.Customers pay the entire amount ¥300,000 to us,¥255,000 of which goes to the television station while the rest is taken as our commission.15% is an industry practice.

J:That can be accepted given that the agency provides us with excellent service,which is secured by the high price.

H:We will provide professional services in media planning,media budgeting and account service free of charge.Of course,if you can provide us with more business opportunities,the commission rate can be bargained again.

J:OK.Apart from this 15 percent commission rate,do you have any alternative way of charging? Our previous agent uses straight-fee system,which charge every service provided on an hourly basis or monthly basis.

H:If you reckon that this way of charging is more suitable for you,we can also charge you based on straight-fee system.

J:Please give me a list of your charging schedule for different services.I will report both methods to the headquarters for a decision.
