简答题是要求考生在读懂文章的基础上，用正确、简短的英语来回答问题。Task 5是简答题，一共5道题，占总分的5%，材料大多是应用文，如商务信函、合同、产品说明书等。简答题重点在于考查考生的阅读能力、语言表达能力以及概括能力。要求考生具备运用正确的拼写、句法结构、词语搭配、标点符号和书写方式来组织答案的能力。

回答这类问题主要在于把握如下几点：快速阅读文章，掌握文章的大概内容；根据文章后面的提问和不完整的回答，确定原文中和答案有关的关键词或短语；用查读（scanning）的方式在原文中找到那些含关键词或短语的句子，然后再根据那些句子确定回答问题所需的词。

注意字数限制，尽量去掉修饰词，保留核心词。
