一、Section A

Section A是简短对话（Dialogue），共有5组，通常是一男一女进行对话，然后根据对话内容提出一个问题。每个对话和后面所提出的问题只读一遍。对话一般以日常交际为主要内容，句子结构和内容都不是很复杂。在解答本部分内容时，考生应按照以下步骤进行：

1.在正式答卷前，要快速浏览选项，预测考点。在播放考试试题录音前，都会播放听力考试的说明部分。这部分内容，考生可以在考前听模拟试题来熟悉。这样，在考试的时候，考生就可以利用这段时间快速浏览试题。

2.特别关注第二讲话人。大多数情况下，是针对第二讲话人的内容进行提问的。

3.不要轻易选择你听到的选项。简短对话是侧重考查听力技巧的，除了直接会话外，大部分这类对话题型都不可以直接从听到的内容中选取答案。

典型考题1

W：You can keep the books one week only.

M：OK，I'll return them on time.

Q：Where does this conversation take place？

A.In a department store.　B.In a bookstore.

C.In a library.　D.In a hotel.

【解析】这类考题主要考查学生对对话地点及人物去向的判断。一般说来，这种考题中，选项大部分是表示地点场所的名词，同时也要注意这些名词前的介词。此外，考生应注意去捕捉“关键词”。有时，考生甚至不需要听懂整个对话，只要听出几个“关键词”就能够得出正确答案。上面的例题中，考生只要听清“book”和“return on time”这样的“关键词”，就可以得出两人的对话应该是发生在图书馆的结论。

典型考题2

W：Tickets are six dollars for adults.Children's tickets are half price.

M：OK，I'd like two adults'and three children's，please.

Q：How much does one child ticket cost？

A.Two dollars.　B.Three dollars.

C.Four dollars.　D.Five dollars.

【解析】这类考题大多涉及价格和时间问题，与数字有关。这类考题一般不会直接针对录音材料中所提到的数字，而要求考生进行简单的计算。如果可以从录音材料中直接找到答案，那么材料中通常会有几个数字进行干扰。准备这类考题时，考生要进行有针对性的复习与准备。（1）要熟悉英语中时间的表达方式。（2）正确分辨-teen和-ty。（3）要准确掌握千及千以上数字的表达方式。（4）熟悉英语中年份、房间号码和电话号码的表述方法。（5）熟悉英语中其他与数字有关的表达方式。

W：Sir，I've come to complain about the skirt I bought in your shop yesterday.

M：What's the matter with it？

Q：What's the probable relationship between the two speakers？

【解析】这是一道职业身份推断题。在这类对话中，由于说话人之间的关系不同，则他们说话时在词句和语气上都会有明显的区别。在这类题中，对话中不直接说出说话者双方的职业身份，但是在其谈话中一定会反映出双方的身份、职业等特征。如果考生在考前就能够熟悉真题试卷中经常出现的职业或者双方关系的词汇，那就会事半功倍。常见的双方关系有：图书管理员与学生（读者）librarian and student，营业员与顾客shopassistant/attendant and customer，教师与学生teacher and student，学生与学生classmate，roommate，schoolmate，医生与病人doctor and patient，侍者与顾客waiter/waitress and customer，老板与雇员或秘书boss/manager and employee/secretary，出租车司机与乘客taxi driver and passenger，主人与客人host/hostess and guest，夫妻husband and wife.

W：I'm not sure whether to buy a new computer or a second hand one.

M：In the long run，to buy a new one saves money.

Q：What does the woman advise the man to do？
