由于暴风雪，机场关闭，旅游团需要延长时间在本市继续游览一天，地陪导游员应如何处理？

1.立即向旅行社汇报，重新安排该旅游团的用餐、住宿、用车等事项。

Report to the travel agency immediately,and rearrange accommodation,vehicle and other matters of the tour group.

2.调整接待计划，酌情增加旅游景点，适当延长主要景点的游览时间，晚上可安排文娱 活动，调节游客情绪。

Adjust the reception plan; arrange extra scenic spots if necessary,extend the tour time of main scenic spots; recreational activities can be arranged in the evening so as to console tourists.

3.和计调人员保持紧密联系，落实第二天游客的离站航班。

Keep in touch with tour operator,and confirm the time of the flight on the following day.

4.通知下一站旅行社。

Inform the travel agency of the next destination.

★ Sample Dialogue—Making Alternate Plans

Due to the snowstorm,the airport has been closed and the tour group needs to extend their tour for another day in the city.The tour guide Cheng Yu is discussing with Joe Smith about the itinerary changes.

Cheng Yu:Mr.Smith,1.___________________________(恐怕我们需要改变计划)!

Joe:Why? We have almost completed the itinerary and we are going to take the plane tonight.My family will wait for me at the airport when I go home.

Cheng Yu:I understand you.But you know,it’s snowstorm outside.Due to the severe snowstorm,the airport has been closed and 2._____________________(所有的航班都取消了).

Joe:Oh,no.When will the bad weather stop?

Cheng Yu:The weather forecast predicts the snowstorm will stop within no more than 24 hours.But we havn’t got any exact time.

Cheng Yu:Don’t worry.Because we will stay here for one more night,4.____________________________(为了让大家舒服和休息好),I had called the travel agency and prepared the hotel rooms for you all.

Cheng Yu:I always want to have you experience more the real Chengdu and have the chance to see all the beautiful sceneries of my country.But this time the weather doesn’t permit.Maybe we can take this opportunity to experience the lifestyle of the locals.We can go the famous tea house to taste special Sichuan tea and enjoy Sichuan opera.

Joe:That would be fun,and maybe the snowstorm would add to the atmosphere.

Cheng Yu:By the way,there is an old English pub next door.When we finish the opera show,we can duck in there for some brew.
