上面介绍的句型最终还是要通过场景来体现，下面是一些日常生活场景中的对话。

1.打电话

例1：通过总机转接。

Sydney：Did you call Ben last night？

John：Yes.I tried to get a hold of him last night，but it was so difficult to get through.

Sydney：That’s strange.Maybe he was on the Net.

John：That’s probably it！No wonder the line was busy all the time！Maybe he ought to get another line.
