The aim of this chapter is to summarize the findings in the previous chapters and draw implications for the genre studies，analysis of coherence in multimodal discourses，empirical research on the reader's reaction and document designs.Section 8.1 summarizes the important research outcomes in this book with respect to the four main research questions raised in Chapter 1.In Section 8.2，a brief overview will be given of the general implications and contributions for genre studies，coherence theories，multimodal discourse analysis，reader's cognitive reaction to multimodal discourses，and document design.Section 8.3 includes limitations of this book and suggestions for future studies.
